By Well From The Rock

Key passages
Matthew 22:37-39 – "Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart …' And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Luke 10:25-37 – The parable of the Good Samaritan: the neighbor is the one who shows mercy.
Romans 12:10 – "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves."
Galatians 5:14 – "For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Reflection
Loving our neighbor is not optional; it flows from loving God. It includes everyone we encounter and is shown in practical mercy and honor.
Questions for reflection
- Who is the "neighbor" God is placing in your path right now?
- When have you passed by someone in need? What would it look like to stop next time?
- How can you "honor one another above yourselves" in your home, workplace, or church?
Action plan
- This week, do one concrete act of mercy for someone in need (time, help, or resource).
- Intentionally encourage or serve one person you usually overlook.
- Pray for your literal neighbors (next door, work, or community) by name.
